Bring it to one place and have blind tasting and grade them
That can be easy way to kick off - low cost, run it at one of our homes....

2) No risk of people getting sick of peanut or things of that sort
3) We learn to run the event
4) We learn to rate the briyani (I suggest we give 10 tokens to each person, they get to vote on the one they like. Allow more than one vote per dish too)
5) How to ensure, people do not know the place where the biriyani was picked
6) How to keep them somewhat warm until it is rady to taste
Challenges in actual biriyani contest
1) We need to collect money from contestants
2) We need to give prize
3) If we run it in public (park) area, we have to get food preparation/sale permit from county
So, rating briyani from restaurant will be first step before we go out with our own chef
